I’ve been moving from place to place since my childhood,
and I quickly realised that it’s not where we’re born that defines us,
but certainly, the experiences we collect along the way.
As a child, I lived in various parts of Italy.
Growing up, I travelled the world, exploring life and searching for meaning.
This path fuels everything I work on today in its different forms.
“I already got married once, in a mosque. A fake marriage, one of those made to lie.”
[from the Italian version: “mi sono già sposata una volta, in una moschea. Un matrimonio di quelli finti, fatti per mentire”, Centomila Tulipani]
One hundred thousand tulips is my debut novel, which will soon be translated into English.
I wrote it after two transformative trips to Iran.
It was a journey I was meant to experience alone, but it turned out differently from the beginning.
It’s a story of personal growth, courage and self-discovery.
A window opened to the multiple meanings of life conveyed through the lens of different cultures.
I’ve been travelling and writing long before it became a job.
These are some of the stories I wrote over the years with the support of a few fellow travellers:
Alessandra is from South Korea, Giselle is from Argentina, Iulia is from Romania, and Cristina is from Italy.
When we started gathering them together, I didn’t know writing would become one of my professions.
What I wanted at that time and what I still aim for today,
is to build bridges and foster mutual understanding among people,
but also to offer a critical reading of the reality and cultural complexity that distinguishes us.
I live consciously, avoiding simplistic and superficial interpretations of the world and human beings’ interactions.
On my blog, you’ll find a mix of travel tips, reading recommendations, and cultural insights I’ve compiled to help you explore the world authentically and respectfully.
Most of my blog posts are in Italian, but you can also find some English ones.
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, and since 2022, I began sharing it with the world.
I’ve written a collection of short stories for various Italian magazines.
They discuss integration, human relationships, dreams, ambitions, and differences.
In short, they highlight lived experiences we can always relate to.
Thoughts, memories and sometimes headaches about the richness and complexity of navigating a multifaceted life:
Multiple countries, multiple passions, multiple careers.
It can seem daunting, and sometimes it is. But it’s a choice that I never regret.
In your inbox without any set schedule, just like the most authentic things in life.
Here, I also share news on literary events and book presentations I participate in and where we can meet in person.
If you’d like to invite me to a festival, literary event, or a project related to travel, personal growth and multiculturalism, please reach out by filling out this form.
I’d be more than happy to create a tailored presentation.
I live in Brussels, but I can travel anywhere if you contact me with enough time.
